Main functionality

When a contact is added to HubSpot and has a filled "first name" property, the Gender By Name app will automatically process the contact's first name and assign a gender to the custom "gender_byname" property, automatically created by the app. Although the "country" property isn't required to determine gender, it is recommended to improve accuracy.

Updating contact property

If a contact's "first name" property is updated, the Gender By Name app will process the contact's updated first name and update the gender, if needed. The monthly contact counter is updated each time a contact is added to the CRM or when the first name is updated. Contacts with unknown first name will neither be processed nor counted in the tier.

Clean data

Gender by Name helps maintain clean data by identifying fake names such as "Test" or "Qr59gj$" and refraining from assigning them a gender. This feature makes sure your gender segments remain accurate and reliable.

Identify the gender of your whole database (one-time purchase)

By purchasing the add-on, the App will automatically start processing all your CRM contacts with a first name and assign them a gender. This add-on is highly recommended in order to have a clear vision of your gender segments. If you still have contacts without a gender, could be due to the first name being unknown or the app detecting a fake name.
