Every time a property updates in HubSpot, a deal stage moves, an owner changes, an amount gets revised, the previous value is gone. No native way to recover it. No audit trail. No visibility into what changed or from what.
PrevVal fixes that gap permanently.
Install it, add a mapping, and PrevVal automatically captures the previous value of any property the moment it changes, writing it directly into a destination property of your choice. No workflows to build. No custom code. No maintenance. It just runs.
Four tracking modes: one for every use case:
Ignore Blank Values — writes the previous value only when it was not empty. The right default for most properties.
Include Blank Values — always writes, even when the previous value was blank. For audit trails where clearing a field matters.
Preserve Last Known — skips blanks and duplicates, finds the last truly different value. Best for amount fields that fluctuate.
First & Last Touch — stores two values simultaneously. First Touch locks in the origin forever and is never overwritten. Last Touch updates on every change. Perfect for UTM source, lead source, and lifecycle stage attribution.

Deals discounted before close with no record of the original amount
Reps reassigned without knowing who previously owned the record
Pipeline stages moving backwards with no way to report on regression
Close dates slipping repeatedly with nothing to show how many times a deal was pushed

Property definitions and metadata, used to populate the mapping selector inside the app
Record IDs, used during backfill to look up historical property values
Portal and user information, used for authentication and plan management
Data PrevVal writes to HubSpot:
Previous property values, written directly to the destination property you specify when setting up a mapping
No other properties are modified, deleted, or overwritten
How your data is handled:
Previous values are stored in your HubSpot portal as native properties, not in any external database
PrevVal does not store your CRM data externally
OAuth is used for all authentication, no passwords or API keys are stored
