It finds images in website pages and blog posts, generates descriptive alt text using the user’s WriteAlt API key, and writes the result back to HubSpot’s native image alt-text field. When a user selects Generate alt text, the selected HubSpot image is sent to the WriteAlt API together with the chosen language, writing style, and optional SEO keywords. WriteAlt returns the generated description, which is written back to HubSpot’s native image alt-text field.
When a user selects Optimize image, the image is processed by the WriteAlt backend and the optimized file is written back to HubSpot while preserving the existing file reference where supported. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted on the WriteAlt backend. No content is changed without a user action.
