About Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation (CEMI)
The Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation (CEMI) is a Canadian not-for-profit organization, founded in 2007 and based in Greater Sudbury, Ontario. CEMI’s mission is to improve the performance of hard-rock mining by accelerating the adoption of commercially viable innovations and strengthening the innovative capacity of mining solution providers. Through initiatives like the Mining Innovation Commercialization Accelerator (MICA), CEMI connects SMEs with funding, expertise, and strategic networks to help bring cutting-edge technologies from concept to commercial deployment.
