I’ve had the pleasure of working with Mike on a CRM migration (Pipedrive to HubSpot) and sales enablement project for a tech start-up. The company is 100% remote and when the pandemic hit, it found itself with the right product at the right time, and experienced massive growth. The company quickly realised it needed the right tools, systems, and processes in place in order to scale. With a remote workforce spread across 20+ countries (at the time) and 3 time zones, this was no mean feat. Mike started by identifying the core functions of our business and taking an inventory of our strengths and weaknesses. Staff across the business had developed their own methods of tracking customer and lead information, which meant that pipeline management, forecasting or accessing important customer information was a time-consuming, manual process. He conducted a series of interviews with our sales teams and customer-facing staff in order to understand where the inefficiencies were and how they could be fixed. Mike designed new quoting and pipeline management processes and instituted multiple stages and sales pipelines, allowing us to be more precise in our analysis and forecasting. Mike also built out the documentation, playbooks, and other assets around the new sales process. We found both Mike and Jane to be well-versed in the various tools and capabilities that HubSpot offers and capable of delivering solutions that streamline processes and bring results. Mike's unwavering enthusiasm and tenacity were key in getting the whole team bought into using those processes. Together with Jane's expertise with automation (workflows) and Mike's systems-thinking, the project was a success and has given us a solid basis to build upon as we continue to grow and scale.
