Overview

Sync data between Fastbill and HubSpot without manual data entry or messy, time-consuming imports.

Here’s what you get with Data Sync by HubSpot:

  • Two-way sync: Data is shared between Fastbill and HubSpot in real time
  • Default field mappings: Set-up is quick with out-of-the-box field mappings already created for you
  • Historical syncing: Your existing data will sync right away, and updates will sync as they happen

Note: this app syncs HubSpot contacts to Private Clients. It does not sync financial data.

Custom field mappings

Custom field mappings are available with Data Hub Starter or up. Custom mappings add the flexibility to create your own mappings or make changes to your default ones.

Sync Fastbill and HubSpot data

Make manual data entry a thing of the past by syncing data (see below) between HubSpot and Fastbill. When records are created or updated in either app, that information will be automatically shared with the other one.

FastBill + HubSpot - less integration is not possible

I opted for FastBill because it is supposed to be integrated with HubSpot. The fact is, there is some kind of data exchange between the programs - nothing more really, but this increases the chaos instead of facilitating data maintenance. The data exchange can take place in both directions or only from one program to the other. Companies with contacts in HubSpot are not created correctly in FastBill. "ALL" contacts of a company are created in FastBill as personal contacts. However, suppliers that exist in HubSpot are also created as customers in FastBill, whereby, as already mentioned, each contact receives its own customer number. If you have the stupid idea of deleting incorrect entries in FastBill, they will of course be deleted in HubSpot without further inquiry due to the bidirectional data exchange. You cannot create suppliers in FastBill yourself, this is done automatically via OCR text recognition. However, there is no synchronization with HubSpot, and the documentation of written quotations or invoices, which is important for a CRM, is completely omitted. Nothing arrives in HubSpot via the BCC address provided for HubSpot documentation either. Of course, the collaboration between creating a deal and writing a quote from HubSpot does not work with FastBill. All this has nothing to do with customer relationship management and even less with integration. There is no support for this on either side, so as a user you are on your own. Conclusion: If I had known all this beforehand, I would have done a lot of things differently or not at all
