ExemptHQ syncs 9 custom properties including coverage status, covered states, exemption type, and expiration dates -- updated automatically whenever a certificate changes.
Request Certificates from Workflows
Add "Request Exemption Certificate" as a step in any company-based workflow. When a company is enrolled, ExemptHQ automatically finds the primary contact, sends them a branded email with a secure upload link, and returns the request status for workflow branching. Perfect for triggering requests when a company is marked as tax exempt.

ExemptHQ is the source of truth for all exemption certificate data. HubSpot Company properties are a read-only reflection that updates automatically. Changes to exemption status must be made in ExemptHQ -- editing HubSpot properties directly will not affect ExemptHQ data and may be overwritten on the next sync.
When a workflow action triggers, ExemptHQ reads the company name, domain, and primary contact details (name and email) from HubSpot to create the customer record and send the request email. ExemptHQ also reads the sidebar card data (company properties) to display the current exemption status on company records.
