A good product but not for me
This was trialled as part of a proof of concept to try to understand the benefits of QuoteWerks vs Commerce Hub and other systems to find the best fit for our business. For me, QuoteWerks, whilst it has some good features and will work well for some businesses, the UX is slow and clunky and not intuitive at all. It is difficult to configure, regularly glitches and is so unattractive to look at - if you loved the windows 95 interface then this is the product for you. Quotewerks would benefit greatly simply by updating the UI to an interface that doesn't look like it's 30 years old.
The native plugins to suppliers and Etilize is a huge plus as it doesn't require custom development
The web interface is agonisingly slow - on average it takes about a minute to login fully - sometimes a lot more! Moving about between sections of the tool can take some time and saving quotes or even setting up users - it can be really difficult to see if when you've clicked something it has actually happened. In one of my colleagues experience, he wasn't sure if he had clicked something and clicked it again. The system glitched, kicked him out, threw up an error message and then when he logged back into the system, had created a user 5 times! The interaction with the HubSpot CRM took some working out - it is not built in the same way that the HubSpot CRM is and it took some working out to understand how to pull through the correct details that we wanted. If we proceed with this tool, we will have to rethink how we structure our data within the portal. We have a lot of custom fields in our HubSpot portal, a lot of which are pivotal to our reporting internally- there are limited places to map and pull these custom fields into HubSpot from QuoteWerks so we are having to consider where we would put these to enable a one system approach to quoting. The approvals tooling is good within QW however, quite limited for what we wanted which is much more complex layers of approvals for different products. It can only operate at a 'document level'. The user permissions required in HubSpot to set up the integration also represent a risk - whilst it may only be temporary, allowed users delete access to properties is a huge risk! amongst other things. That and the user and install guides offer conflicting versions of the permissions to grant in order to set up the integration. There are fields and sections in quotewerks which map into HubSpot as part of the integration, but we are not able to find them in HubSpot either which is also an issue for us.

Working great
We like the ability to tie our quotewerks activity back to our HubSpot deals, and save a copy of the quote in HubSpot. It took some effort to get set up, but has been working well for a few weeks now.
