The most unprofessional company we’ve ever dealt with

Technically, chargebee does what we need it to do most of the time (there are at times sync issues, and failures to transfer data correctly, which is frustrating). However, the people we’ve dealt with as we’ve started to look at downgrading our plan with them have been so difficult, to the point of it being illegal and scammy, that we almost have to laugh. We’ve been lied to, we’ve been ignored for months on end and auto-renewed on plans we didn’t want while waiting on clarification questions to be answered, we’ve been put under pressure to sign terms that don’t suit us, put under pressure to sign amendments within 24 hours… this list is long and fails on so many basic levels of professionalism and customer service that it’s hard to get your head around. When you speak to their representatives, it becomes immediately clear that their priorities and culture are awful. They are more interested in squeezing money out of customers in the short term than anything else. Please look elsewhere. They are a risk to your business.

What do you like?Technically, the platform does what we need it to do, most of the time! That’s not a huge pro.
What do you dislike?Their customer service and commercial tactics. Boarding on being illegal and we’ll be testing that out very soon

Does not work

The syncing between chargebee and husbspot does not work correctly. The setup in chargebee of customers and subscriptions does not work along the setup in HubSpot using companies, contacts and deals.

It could be a great combination

From Chargebee to HubSpot it works fine, although I would like to custom configure more fields. What is missing is the direction from HubSpot to Chargebee to create a customer, add plan or book addons without leaving the CRM.

ChargeBee - A great start

Subscription set up is super easy. Invoicing isn't enabled yet but it serves the same function as the HubSpot quotes option.

SaaS Invoicing

Overall we love the ChargeBee integration with HubSpot. We can very easily setup new SaaS agreements and automate the process much more than many other software solutions. We do struggle with the reporting capability with integration and with ChargeBee on our current pricing plan.
What problem are you trying to solve?FanFood uses ChargeBee to manage and bill our SaaS Enterprise Clients on a monthly basis.
What do you like?Easy to setup new subscriptions. Easy to see paid invoices and outstanding invoices.
What do you dislike?No build in MRR reports and future forecasting of SaaS revenue with the integration. (at least that I know of)

Easy to set up

We were able to get Chargebee set up quickly without the need for heavy involvement from our technical teams.

Great potential but needs some ironing out

The team at Chargebee was very helpful during our trial and attempting to get the platform, ultimately we were unable to get the platform configured and connected to our HubSpot account. The interface within Chargebee was functional but like most account and payment processing systems we have seen and used they lack a level a refinement that makes the platform intuitive to operate in.
What problem are you trying to solve?Payment billing portal
What do you like?Very powerful platform and if you are willing to spend the time to learn the system I was confident that we could achieve almost any goal that we wanted.
What do you dislike?Very cumbersome to configure and very focused on SaaS style subscription purchasing, if your product has not been refined down to the point that someone buys it and logs in and started using the system then Chargebee may not provide you the functionality you need.
