Wastes more time than it saves

The Clio/Hubspot integration leaves a LOT to be desired. My firm previously used Lawmatics for manager of prospect data, and the Clio integration for that platform was really helpful and saved our team a lot of time, so when we were evaluating a move from Lawmatics to HubSpot, the ability to integrate with Clio was a big factor. Unfortunately, we were really disappointed by the actual integration. It ONLY syncs deal data, and a limited amount at that. You can't sync notes, only a few selected fields. You can do some customization if you upgrade HubSpot but even that doesn't look very promising. In order to sync these few deal fields, you must manually create a contact for the client in Clio, so the time saved there is limited. Beyond that, the integration fails more often than it functions. One major flaw is that the contact in Clio and the contact in HubSpot must match EXACTLY, down to the formatting of the phone number. If the HubSpot contact lists 1234567890 as the phone number and Clio contact lists (123) 456-7890 as the number, it won't recognize the match and sync. We spend so much time investigating and fixing errors (because it seems every time, it's a slightly different error), that it defeats the purpose of using the integration altogether. There was somewhat limited guidance on the setup, and because of that, we ended up with a bunch of duplicate matters in Clio, which we had to clean up. After you set it up, there is no info to help troubleshoot so we are left just having to poke around until we figure out what's wrong on our own, which is really frustrating.

My staff and I did not find integration of Clio Manage and HubSpot to work very effectively, we had lots of duplicate entries, lots of garbage field entries, and we just didn't have a level of confidence that we could transfer all of our former clients and contacts to Clio manage without error. For the time being, we are going to keep both ecosystems separate.
